This might be a dumb question, but a porn dialler managed to get itself installed on my PC and was trying to ring out. Am I right in thinking that these things can't connect to the phone system by connecting through a broadband adsl modem? (which is what i connect with)

teepee, you're OK but go into regedit and search for all references to the porn dialler and delete them. When they are all gone, reboot and you should have no more trouble. (Back up first if you're at all worried.)

And delete the .exe file that comes with it.

For the best removal use click here or click here

All you need to do is start MSCONFIG and look for something that does not look right and remove the tick. It's in the startup tab

You could also look in your dial up networking folder and delete any strange dialers.Paddy(:-)
