I never used to get popups whilst browsing the web,now I cannot go anywhwere without getting the things,has something installed itself on my pc to allow this to happen?Can I get rid of it?It started about a month ago. XP IE 6

Also get a popup stopper - do a search on these pages for lots of info.

How do I know if they are messenger service popups?
They come from ,Yell, Which, various mortgage companies etc
I have ad adaware and this has not stopped them,I will try Google tool bar

A bit of a sideways leap, but why don't you try Mozilla Firebird browser instead of IE6, it's freeware, only about a 7Mb download.

It's a very fast browser & you can download "extensions" so that new windows become tabs like in Opera instead of whole new windows, and you can have mouse gestures so that you can flick your mouse to go back or reload a page.

It also stops pop-ups.
