I have just recently uninstall NORTON and installed AVG and another SPYWARE, but I have noticed since having done this, I know keep on getting POP UPS, what can I do to prevent this happening.

If you are using IE7, click Tools - Internet Options and on the Privacy tab near the bottom you will find Pop Up Blocker. Make sure it's turned on (tick box) then click Settings and set Filter level to Medium or High (At bottom of Settings page).

Also a good idea to run Norton uninstall tool.

I recently replace my NIS 2006 with AVG (free version) and PCTools firewall (free version).

Although I do not have any pop-ups, Advertisements are now very much present whilst surfing. I'm running FireFox and I downloaded an add-on called 'Adblock'.

Installed it and (after fiddling a bit - how to block images on sites) it works fine.
