I have a new Toshiba notebook Win XP Pro, every time I startup I get a warning: " wireless connection is not connected " well yes, I know that, I haven't got one, how do I get rid please ?

In your startup folder you will probably find a shortcut to the wireless connection.

Delete it

thanks, Jackcoms,
I'll give that a go.

you may also have to go into the bios to disable the component,
For example in my asus motherboard there is a Firewire connection and a secondary video card available but as I do not use them I set them as disabled, this releases them from possibly tying up an irq or causing possible i/o or irq conflicts in future.
