Plugged In and Not Charging

Hello

I have a dell laptop Inspiron 1525 running on vista, had this laptop for around 2yrs and love it until recently.

I get a message "Plugged In and Not Charging" and my battery is at 0%

I have had look online, it seems to be widely reported and i did solve it by going to device manager and removing the battery and adding it back again whilst unplugging the power adapter.

But I have been trying all sorts of ways to fix it and struggling.

Has anyone else had this problem which has been solved? Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

Laptop Battery not showing Charging
1. Turn off the computer,
2. Take the battery out
3. Take out the power supply
4. Push the power button down for 30 seconds.
5. Reconnect power supply
6. Then the battery.
Should now show 100% charged. This is because sometimes the mother board gets static and this clears it and the reason it showed not charging was because it was fully charged.
