please,window player database corrupted

please help guys.

I have window XP with windows media player 9.When i try to see a movie with windows media player an error pop up saying;windows media player library database is corrupted.

I uninstall media player from control panel and reinstall it again nothing helped the same error message.

Can anybody help.

if the problem is a new one why not use system restore to a known good time?

Hi Habs!

If you want to delete the corrupt database, do the following:-

Dclick My Comp>Local disk (C) >Docs & Settings> Your login name> Local Settings> Appl Data> Microsoft> Media player> Here you should find some files with a .wmdb extension; probably "corrupt Database_***.wmdb" and/or "current database_***.wmdb".

Delete both and start your media library again from scratch.
