Please state operating system in your question.

Looking at most of the requests in the Helproom, it seems that it would be very helpful if the users OS was stated in the first post as this seems to be the first question from many responders.
I see that in some forums, users state their complete system, but that is probably over the top, as more specific info could be supplied later if necessary.

Here are a couple of good free programs to help you get your system information if you are not sure.

Belarc is ok for your basic specs and aida gives a lot more detailed information.

Simply to get the the Operating system look at the splash screen where your computer starts and it should tell you.

Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP


Click on your START button (bottom left) and tilt your head sideways and your Operating System will be displayed. On the start menu on the left runing up the side.

Example: Windows XP Home Edition. (Vertical)


Go to > Start > Run > Copy and Paste:


Then click "ok" and it will pop up what operating system you are using.
