Hello guys,

I would really appreciate your help.
I am in an urgent need to purchase new AC/DC adapter for my ADVENT laptop.
However, as a layman, cannot work out the power rate for it (in W). Could you advice?

my other technical details are:
Advent laptop 19V 3.42A 1GB RAM
Intel Core CPU T5500

Thank you.

Forget the power rate laptop will draw different power depending on what is required.

Just get another adaptor with the correct Volatge 19v and current min 3.4A and the right size DC jack plug to fit in your laptop also pay attention to the -(0- symbol that shows the polarity of the plug, i.e. neg on the centre, pos on outer or visa versa)

The QT5500 is also known as a EAA-89 ( Quanta TW3 ) The relevant part number for it is ....Liteon AC Adapter model PA 1650-01 , Input [email protected]/60Hz 1.6amps, Output 19v 3.42amps .

Do a Google for Liteon PA 1650-01 , there seem to loads for sale , they will fit many different laptops , although the QT5500 isn't listed it will work , I got one of these for a friends daughter just recently as her cat had chewed through the original , and it worked a treat .
