Please help!

I've just started up my pc and there is an icon on my desktop called 'orgasm.exe', which is a shortcut to a pornographic site. I've looked at the history and my brother has been using my pc to access porn sites. I've tried deleting the application, but a message comes up saying the specified file is being used by Windows. Does anyone know how to delete the application? I just want this crap off my computer, and as I'm not very IT literate I'm having trouble. Any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks.

Try booting into Safe Mode, then deleting it.

in Safe Mode, but download Ad-aware ( now out of date but still works ) to remove any spyware. Go into MSCONFIG to see if it is enabled in your Startup items - if it is, take the tick out of it.

give your brother a big slap !!

It's not in Startup items. How exactly do I 'boot into Safe Mode'?

Reboot the computer and, before the Winows logo screen appears, keep tapping the F8 key. You should be presented with a menu of start up options. Select "Safe Mode".

Some machines with Windows 98, like mine, you need to press the Ctrl key to get to safe mode.

which operating system?

coz you can try pressing ctrl+alt+del and if the program appears in the list of running programs you can end it and then delete the file.
