Playing avi in sony vegas 6

I recorded some video on my Canon PowerShot A700 in the .avi format (I think). It plays fine in Windows Media Player 11 but when I try to import it into Sony Vegas 6 Platinum it only imports the audio, not the video. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm new to this sort of thing.

I don't think your file can be avi, otherwise Vegas would see the audio and video. You have 19 shoot modes so you may have to look in the menu to change to avi (or mpeg) for video shooting. You can covert this file into avi using Super click here (scroll down to bottom).
