play video extract on media player on PDA

Have a jornada 565 with media player.Main computer runs XP and has a video clip from a mustek 3000 digital camera but when i try to copy through win media player 9 to my storage card on my pda i get 'error occured' win media player cannot play specified file your portable device does not support the specified format.How do i change this file or any other to the correct format so i can play it on my pda

Peter56, the file is probably a .avi file. Windows Media Player on Pocket PC only plays .wma files.

The best way to get your clip to play is:
If it is a .avi - load it into Windows Movie Maker (if you have WinME or XP) or your camera's movie software and convert it to .wma or .mpg/.mpeg. Then download PocketTV from click here - this plays .mpeg/.mpg files on Pocket PC.

If it is a .mpeg/.mpg just download and install Pocket TV.
