I know this is not PC thing directly but anybody have views on the merits of Plasma screens and LCD's?

I,ve got an LG 18" LCD and a win nova digital satellite card installed the t.v images are absolutely superb.

I,ve seen some plasmas but the definition does,nt seem the same, theres also issues relating to the life span of the screens.

However, i don,t think anyone yet manufactures 42" LCD screens and presumably this is one of the attractions of the plasma with screen sizes upto 81".click here

61" screens.

Agree with keenan here as the life expectancy is not great on plasma's.

Latest is that on average plasma lasts 3 years and then needs recharging - if you can find somewhere that does it. If not £800 (for cheapest) a year for a screen is a lot!!
