plasma monitor wont start

this morning i switched the computor on to find the monitor has a sign saying no video what do i do i tried all the buttons turned the computor off and opn a few times but vstill the same any ideas

Check cables.

Try monitor on another computer.

that the problem is with the PC.

Has the PC got a Graphics Card?

Could it, or one of the cables, have become loose?

hi wee eddie im not sure it is a dell it has a mother board and i checked the cable from thr moniter to the desk top and it is screwed in tight i am going to try it on another computer shortly

well i tested the monitor and its ok ive checked the wires and they are ok what can i dop next

about 6 or 7 years old if i cant get to see what is on the screen how will safe mode help

hi wee eddie i tried the safe mode thing and found out that my keyboard is not working and my keyboard is a usb model so does that tell you anything

Before you do anything drastic, make sure your cooling fans are still working.

Keyboard issues can throw up all sorts of unexpected issues.
fair test is to try another keyboard or just disconnect it and see if PC boots to welcome screen...
