Hey Horza...

Thats a nice setup youu have made...everything seems to be in spec, one thing you could of done if you were going out for the full top spec wammy then maybe you could of put in some 1066mhz memory instead of 667...but i doubt it would of made that much difference. All the same, would be good to see it running.

Thanks for the quick response, I found this unders memory issues from the Motherboard website and is about the one thing I have not fully understand seems like there is some problem with AM2+ socket??? Well what it says and a like to the site.

Note: Due to AMD AM2+ CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 is only supported by 1 dimm per channel. ( That sounds like its not working at full spec)

I guess with that kind of setup, games are the main focus?

Reckon a single 4870x2 will be enough for some time to come. Of course it depends on the games to be played & their settings. Spending £350-400 on a graphics card is bad enough, but doubling that expense for 20% (?) increase in performance is plain foolish. I suppose one could argue if he/she can really afford it, then why not?

4Gb should be enough as well ("SO DIMM 200-pin" is laptop RAM btw!). Crucial 4GB (2X2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Ballistix Memory with better latency timings of CL4 (4-4-4-12) for only £38 click here. That Corsair RAM is almost double the price!

Have you considered an Intel setup at all? They perform better in games, & most all other things.

Any particular reason for Vista Ultimate? Can the few extra features click here over Premium justify the £70 extra? At least two of those 'extras' are available for nothing in the form of free alternative programs. G
