Pixelated mpegs...

I recently downloaded some music videos in .avi format and played them successfully on a PC in Windows Media Player (XP, version 9).

I then burnt these files onto a CD and subsequently copied them onto another PC, also running XP and WMP verison 9.

At first I had trouble viewing the .avi files, but the mpegs were perfect. I added the Divx codec the and .avi’s all play fine...but now the .mpegs (that played perfectly before) appear slightly pixelated which is annoying. Any ideas why?

There's no rhyme nor reason for pixellation sometimes. 1 guy got it rendering in W2k, but not when logged in as administrator. I get it when I use hd 'd', but not on other hd's. If there's a glitch in os it can occur.

Try running thro defrag and scandisc, and turning all off except vitals (use enditall or similar) when burning/rendering.

I'll give it a go.
