Does anyone know what size fibre feeds the main cabinets on cable co's networks ? 155 meg possibly ?

Fibre connections are mainly used for the back bone of networks and so Id say your talking gigabits connection speeds

Yes the backhaul network probably is Gigabyte capable but the local network (to the "master" cabinet) is certainly a fibre in the
megabyte range. My reason for asking is merely to ascertain wether contention is an issue with cable orientated products. With BT the contention can start at their DSLAM (but apparently doesn't at present levels).
