Pink photos

My prints have started taking on a distinctly pinkish tinge. I noticed it when I tried to print a recent photo.
I am using Windows XP with the latest SP
A Canon MP 600 Printer/Scanner.
Serif PhotoPlus XP.
I have gone back over some earlier photos and printed them again and they have the same pink tinge.
I have tried printing direct from the My Pictures folder and that was the same, I tried scanning a photo and directly printing it on the printer and that seemed OK. Has any one any suggestions that I might try to overcome this?
Regards
Mike

surfer47,

sounds like a problem with the ink cartridge.
Have you tried changing thr red/magenta tank, or cleaning the jets?
