hi there

can any one help with this please
I have started getting these so called ping attacks at least 5 per day these are picked up by my trend micro pc cillin 2002 anti virus software can any one tell me if these are high rated and what exactly they are please !!

Ignore them...

Pings go on all the time and pc cillin has detected 'em.

They are harmelss.

Are you on dial up i know isp send out a ping every now and then that is why people on 24/7 notice every few hours or so they lose the connection if they have a firewall, the ping they send is just to make sure you are connected but due to firewalls blocking the ping the isp disconnects. Apart from those pings i dont know

ignore them. If you find such notifications irritating or worrying why don't you disable the notifications in your software. We are all being pinged regularly, as Powerless says.
