pictures onto vcd /svcd program

can somebody tell me some names of fairly cheap programs to put my digital pictures onto a cd in vcd/svcd format so we can view a slideshow on our dvd player (not on the pc but on the tv dvd)

Hi, the usual suspects; Nero 6, Roxio easy CD & DVD Creator 6 would probably be the best. They cost around £50.00 so pricewise are not too bad, also you can do other stuff like add music/soundtrack etc. Both suites come with a host of other features too. If I had to reccomend one, I guess it would be the program I use - Roxio. I did use Nero on an old PC and it was ok, but IMHO Roxio is the software to go for.

Simple to use but effective is click here which allows a free trial download so you've nothing to lose by trying it out.

Just one thing - I take it your standalone DVD will play SVCD, mp3 etc.
