Physical Memory dump at Shutdown

A few weeks ago when I shutdown windows2000, I started getting a blue screen with the following comments:
"Beginning dump of physical Memory"
"Dumping physical memory to disk"
Then a counter would count up to 100 and my pc would reboot. It doesn't do it all the time.

Anyone know what's going on?

does this happen everytime and did the event coincide with anything such as installing a new app etc.. . .. if you go to the control panel and select administrative tools then select event log the system event log may yield a pointer in the directyion of the cause. additionally ensure that you have the latest SP
