I keep having crases on my computer (running XP pro) usually when writing a CD or installing an application. The error message is on the win xp "blue screen" and at the bottom says dumping physical memory. SOmetimes a counter next to it counts to 100 and then the PC restarts, sometimes it doesnt and restarts straight away. The PC has recovered from a serious error apparantly. The tech info is a minidump file and something in a temp directory. What is happening?

the PC is dumping whats sitting in RAM to a file that will sit on your PC for evermore doing nothing but taking room up :-\

Can you get rid of the files?
