Hi, how can I run two mysql queries at once, where one thing is x, alter another field

I think you're probably referring to transactions which treat one or more queries as one atomic action on the database. If one query fails then the whole transaction rolls back, otherwise all of the changes are committed to the database.

MySQL 5 also supports stored procedures which may help you. Also have a look at the MySQLi PHP interface.
