My OS is win98SE. I had a virus which was cleaned when I installed McAfee VirusScan7. Now when I try to start Photshop 3 I get a message "The SHELL32.DLL file is linked to missing exportSHLWAPI.DLL:SHRegGetUSValueA" I re-installed Photoshop, but no difference. I ran windows setup, but no difference. I found Shlwapi.dll in windows\system at 288kb. I have win98 on another old computer and found shlwapi.dll there at 277kb, so I transferred that one. Then when i started up I got "illegal operation" and it closed down so I restored original but still can't start photoshop.

Maybe if you click here you may find what you want. Good luck.

Try copying SHLWAPI.DLL from Windows\System to the Photoshop program folder.
