I cannot understand the image size figures. Please can somebody explain if and how the size of the document in pixels relates to the Pixel Dimensions figure (expressed in millions). Multiplying the width and height pixel figures does not produce a figure anywhere near the stated Pixel Dimensions figure. Thanks
What is omitted in the explanation in the link is the storage space, sorry. To store a high colour image you are talking three bytes per pixel without using encryption. Hence the 22.8M for the 8 mega pixel image in the example.
I usually store my images at 300 dpi, size 26 mm X 19.5 mm (Landscape, A4) . I have an auto action for this. Then if I want two to a page I reduce to a height of 14.5 mm. I find 300 dpi good for printing, and wish I could set camera to 300 - mine comes in at 180 with wider and deeper pix.
