Photoshop Elements 6 problem

  modelflyer 13:03 04 Jul 08

I recently installed Photoshop Elements 6 on Vista Home Premium and after a restart my CD ROM and RW drives had disappeared. Device manager showed error code 37 (drivers could not be loaded). I had to do a system restore to get things right again. Tried several re-installs but with the same result.
Has anyone out there had this problem and if so is there a remedy?

I haven't experienced that particular problem.

But their forum is very useful:

Thanks for that ened. I'll have a trawl through later.

For anyone else who may have this problem I've cracked it...via a member of the Adobe forum, which led me here... click here;EN-US;314060. I'm afraid it involves tinkering in the registry so a backup beforehand is best called for.
Although the above link is for XP it also works with Vista.
