PhotoShop CS 5 - Overlaying pictures

Hi

Can any one tell me the best way of overlaying a photo on top of another so the blend in?

My idea is a photo of someone climbing down a chimney

You use 'layers' first you have the background layer then you put your layer 1 on top of that and edit (rub out the parts you don't want) on the layer 1 so that the background layer shows through. There should be a guide in the Help tutorial for CS5

prior to putting layer 1 on you roughly outline the figure you want from another picture and copy it and paste it as a new layer over the background layer
