Hi! I bought 2 sticks of 512mb RAM module to upgrade my 512mb ram windows vista desktop. However when I installed the 2 sticks my computer failed to start and when i ran the memory diagnostic tool, it says i need to contact the manufaturer to update the bios. any help to solve this issue is much appreciated. Thanks

To find out which motherboard you have click here and download the free version of Speccy from Piriform and that will tell you who makes it and which BIOS version you have. You can then go to the board manufacturer's website to download their latest version of the BIOS (avoid any Beta versions). Follow the instructions for updating the BIOS very carefully, including any advising you to make a backup of your existing BIOS.
