Philips speaker driver wiped by Vista upgrade

I recently upgraded my pc to Vista Home Premium from XP, but my Philips speakers supplied with my Iqon pc don't work at all. Every time the pc's switched on, the speakers are recognised as new hardware, but I can't find the driver for them anywhere on the pc or online. The model isn't even found on the Philips websites, UK or Ireland, - they are SPA1200MN/05 Multimedia speakers, non USB. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, where did you find the driver? My pc's fairly new (October '06), so I would have thought that getting the driver would have been pretty straightforward. I've already had to upgrade my modem to Vista compatability, are my speakers useless too?

Do you have a sound card in your PC? It could be it's the sound card drivers which need updating.

The speakers worked for a while, before the new software for my modem was installed. I'll give the sound card driver update a go though, thanks for your help.
