Can anyone help my nephew, whilst using MSN, picked up the Trojan Collect.af which has proved extremily difficult to remove. The PC has up to date AVG and Crawler Spyware terminator both don't appear to remove it. On checking a number of forums they suggested, what appeared quite complicated, all sorts including typing in code within Notepad etc. Can anyone advise on an easier solution?

Make sure your virus and malware definitions are up to date.
Boot the computer up in 'Safe Mode' then do your scan's with AVG and A-squared, if this fails to resolve it, turn off 'System Restore' and re-scan. You will loose your restore points unfortunatly, Dont forget to turn 'System Restore' back on again after clearing virus.
