Permentant Removal of Startup items in msconfig

Does anyone know how to remove items from the list of startup items from msconfig. I have lists of stufff that I don't have loading and would like to remove them.

You can remove them with RegSeeker click here, but if you don't use the software, then it is a good idea to uninstall it first, also when you have removed the item from the startup list there is no easy way to put it back.

Some of the stuff there I removed using Ad-Aware (bridge.dll and a few others had crept in), and I certainly don't want them back.

Thanks for the link, I'll have a look.

I use Autoruns (click here)

You need to tick all the boxes (otherwise they won't show up) and then hit OK (but don't reboot) Then open Autoruns, highlight an entry and hit delete...

Run Adaware again to remove those items (not just from msconfig startup, but from the computer altogether).
