Peripheral connectivity

I have a flat bed and film scanner connected to my tower pc(old)to a scsi card. They work fine. BUT I would like to use these devices by connecting to my new laptop. Is it possible to have the multi pin socket adapted to a usb connection? Or is there any other way of using my scanning devices on my lap top/

I know you can get a PCMCIA (Cardbus) SCSI card as I have one that I use on one of my laptops to run the CD-ROM drive. It requires a special cable as the space available to connect to the card is limited. It was supplied with the laptop so I don't know where to source one. Try searching on Novatech or Dabs sites.

Does your peripherals also have a Parallel port connection option?
