hi can anyone tell me if they have perfc000 dat file in there w32 windows folder i have this file on both my pcs i have seen on the internet that it is related to a trojan i have checked with nod32 and adaware apps and no infection can be found thanks Chippy

no sign on mine although i have a perfc009 running win xp home

hi thanks to all sorry about the delay in replying i managed to get rid of the file in one of my pc's but had to go back with an acronis backup on the other the infected file must have been on the pcs for a lomg time because of the backup no i had to use i use nod32 various spyware apps and none pcked this up it was only when i seen this file on the web i decidedto look in my c drive so it seems that no matter how much protection you may have you can still get infected
this file must have been working in the background for a long time the thing is my pc was working witout any trouble thanks again Chippy
