Ok so recently I purchase a MOBO with CPU that states its a Pentium 4 Dual core processor 2.8Ghz,so I install it and get the pc up and running only to check device manager it says Pentium D processor, I am right to think that I was sold a pentium D processor and not the Dual core processor or does the D indicate as being Dual Core. I dont want to launch a complaint against the retailer unless I am sure I have been con or "mistakenly" send the wrong MOBO and CPU. Can anyone share some light into this please.Thank you.

go to the intel site and download TAT this shows the temperature that your core[s] are running at. You will then be able to see how many cores are being monitored.
