PDFs from a website dont open properly ...?

I have had this trouble before and lost the corrected (IE ?)setting during a full rebuild of my system.

For example:

Any PDF files saved as such in my data folders open correctly, but options on a website settle at a blank screen with the smug "done" at the bottom.

Using XP Pro SP2 and IE7
I believe there is a box to be ticked or unticked somewhere?

Agreed links open, but contents do not display (for me).
I'm sure there is a setting somwhere in IE 7 to place or remove a tick.

I have had this problem as well but only from certain websites, the government ones seem the worst affected as far as I am concerned

Which PDF reader are you using? If Adobe then try Foxit Reader

and make it your default on the Help menu.

Is it under item 7, Configuring the browser to open PDF files in an Acrobat window ?

I use Foxit Reader myself, so not too sure.

Exactly what I was looking for!
A simple enough change once I knew where to look.
