PDF to Word converter?

  1936 11:14 22 Nov 09

I have a load of papers to scan and scanning in OCR is not an option because its takes to long to correct so they need to be scanned in PDF.
That leaves the problem of converting them into word so I need a PDF to Word converter. I am happy to pay but would prefer not to pay the earth.
Does anyone have any sugestions?

I use pageplu from serif older versions of which might be available for free. It can make pdfs editable but as far as I know it only saves as pdf or its own ppp format. Once save as ppp it might be possible to highlight it all then paste into word. I will try that now and come back to you.

yes it works - open pdf document then save as serif ppp format. Highlight text wanted then copy it and paste into word. This is then totally editable and can then be saved as a word doc.

I've used pdf2word a few times recently and been happy with it.
