PCMCIA cards...remove ?

hi, can i take the card out with the laptop running, i have clicked on the "remove hardware" thingy down by the clock, but it is always in use.

Generally PCMCIA cards are 'Hot Swappable' and can be extracted and inserted at any time on most Windows versions ( I have heard that NT doesn't support hot swap, but can't confirm this ).
