I have an old IBM 760XD Thinkpad. I want to connect to a wireless network. I have a wireless PCIMA card which the laptop does not seem to reconise. When I look in device manager it tells me "This device is disabled in the BIOS for the device did not give it an IRQ (interupt request) code29"
Anybody any ideas as to how I can enable the device as I cannot see how to in BIOS

I have loaded the drivers. Wireless card works fine with my other more recent laptop

I suspect what you have to enable in the BIOS is the laptop's PCMCIA slot, not the card you are trying to run from it.

I am sure you are right but I cannot find out how to do it. I can enter BIOS but its not like I am used to. There seems no way to do it
