PCI Wirless Card not recognised

  subaculture 14:24 19 Sep 05

I have a new Dell 8400 with a Broadcom Network Card for Hi Speed Broadband access but I want to connect wirelessly as there are two other laptops in the flat. I purchased a Belkin Wirless Router (g) and PCi Wirless Card (g). I tested the router by linking it directly to the computer (using the network card) and it works fine.

I installed the Bekin Software and then the PCi card in a spare slot.

I then disabled the network card.

1. The computer does not recognise the PCI Wireless card. The LED light for it is on but it does not appear on the device maanger.
2. If I try and open the Bekin software, it opens for one second and then closes.

What do I do? Something with BIOS?

1. Re-enable network card.

2. try in another PCI slot
