PCI Modem Problem

  swanson2 15:47 18 Jul 03

I have just installed a cheapie (Neto Dragon) internal PCI modem.

The modem and it's drivers installed OK to COM PORT 3.

However when I try to connect to the internet via this new modem the dial up connection fails and when I select details I get the error message "there was no dialling tone"

If I connect the phone line to my external modem on COM PORT 1 everything works OK.

Any ideas\suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have you new modem as default modem?

Windows will not use it otherwise.

It was a loose telephone connection!
