PCI Memory Controller

On start up my 3 year old desk top running Windows XP Service Pack 3 is telling me it has found new hardware - PCI Memory Controller - and the usual request pops up regarding searching for drivers etc. Under device manager the PCI Memory Controller is listed under 'other devices' with a yellow question mark.

I haven't added this 'new' hardware and wonder if there is a problem somewhere. Any advice would be much appreciated.

In devices, disable it and see if that makes any difference. Loads of entries on Google about it, no apparent 'fix' though.

Thanks Technotiger - may try that as otherwise the computer is working fine. I'm just fed up of having to cancel it every time a switch on.
