XP HOME - P4 2.6 - I HAVE INSTALLED AN INOVISION E10 PCI IDE CONTROLLER CARD. I CANT INSTALL THE DRIVER - FROM THE SUPPLIED CD OR AN UPDATED DRIVER FROM THE COMPANY WEBSITE - XP WIZARD CANT FIND THE DRIVER WHAT EVER I DO - DEVICE MANAGER SEES IT AS 'OTHER DEVICES' -
'MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER' -- SOMEHOW I THINK THATS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES

From Device Manager rt click on Mass Storage Device
(XP sees the card as a SCSI Device)no matter, select
reinstall or update driver. If Update Driver Wizard asks to connect to Internet say No. Click Next and
check both boxes and Browse to the folder the drivers are located in. From there hopefully XP will
see and install them. That should work.

TRIED THAT - DOESNT WORK - ALSO TRIED UNISTALLING DEVICE FROM DEVICE MANAGER AND RESCANING TO GET XP TO FIND THE DEVICE AGAIN AND START THE WIZARD.

I don't know the answer but your SHOUTING key seems to be stuck.

'SHOUTING' KEY - WOT?!

  chris 21:59 05 May 05

Sorry I always type with caps lock on

You seem to have CAPS LOCK on. This is the equivalent of SHOUTING on forums. It also makes your posts incredibly hard to read.
