PCI-Express cards > standard PCI slots?

I'm looking to buy a new graphics card for my PC but can't seem to find hardly any standard PCI ones.

My computer is a Dell Dimension 3000, 8 months old, and I don't know if the PCI slots are standard or Express, the manual doesn't tell me unfortunately.

So my question is... are PCI-Express cards compatible with standard PCI slots (I'm guessing not but I suppose there's no harm in asking)? And, how can I find out if the PCI slots are standard or Express?

Any help very much appreciated.

No. PCI Express is different

See if your Dell has an AGP socket. That may suit you
