can somebody tell me the difference between pci expresss and agp graphic cards?

They fit in different slots, theslots themselves are a different physical size, the PCIE slots are meant to be faster allowing the production of better faster cards.

I don't know the technicalities, but I do know that PCI-E ismuch faster and the future of graphics cards.

cheers guys,so how would i find out if my computer was pci-e compatable?

click here for SIW which will ID your motherboard and tell you if you have any PCI-E slots.

If you do not have a PCIE slot there is no way to add one. Except for a couple of motherboards that have both slots you will find you either have AGP or PCI Express.
Do not confuse PCI slots with PCIe slots they are completely different.
If SIW doesn't tell you or you are unsure it will definatly tell you the motherboard maker and model number and if you post that here someone will tell you.
