Do you have a network (ethernet) card?

Righ click My Computer, select Properties; Device Manager and come back and tell us if you have any yellow exclamation marks.

You could try a complete reinstall of the device which may clear the problem.

To do this, open up Other Devices, Right Click the device with the mark and delete it. Now shutdown Windows to a COLD boot (power off) and let Windows find the device again. It may now find the appropriate drivers and solve the problem, or the worst way, you will end up with the same situation as you have now.

Try and see. If you still have the same problem, come back and we will investigate further.
