I was looking to get an ethernet card,as it works with linux better than a USB connected cable modem apparently.
Now the question...is a PCI card the same?
The word ethernet appears on the packet...but was unsure if they are the same thing.

A Ethernet card fits into the PCI slot on your motherboard therefore you want a PCI ethernet 10/100 card.

Its as simple as that?
Thanks for that...I feel silly now.
Had the card in my hand in the shop ..not wanting to ask advice of the pimply boy behind the counter.
Oh well back tomorrow to get it...

Glad to be of help and if I was,nt a very mature student doing a course in computing at college I would,nt know an Ethernet card from a hole in the ground ;-)
