PCI drivers

  Armagin 17:05 08 Apr 04

Hi, I have reformated my hard drive and reinstalled the mother board drivers from the disk. Windows (ME)is installed, Graphics (agp) installed and ok but my sound card wont work in its pci slot (drivers installed).

In divice manager i have Yellow question marks in the "Other Divices" tab

I also have yellow exclamation marks in the "Sound vidio and game controlers" tab. I'v installed all the motherboard drivers "VIA".

Any sugestions please

delete/remove the items with the yellow exclamation matrks in device manager

reboot and let the system find them and attempt to reinstall them, it will probably ask for driver disk. Failing that, try the update driver option from within device manager.

are you sure you loaded the right drivers?

then trya different pci slot.

It is likely one or more of the 'Other devices'will refer to a modem (if you have one fitted)

My 2 pence worth, put the bits in one at a time, it's easyier to sort problems when they arise (& for some reason with PC's they just do) As bremner says, some issues may be from the other device. Then try what Mrdsgs says.
