pcandis5.sys/ trojan horse/ cant internet connect

  shortcircuited 10:08 30 Jun 08

My computer suddenly cannot connect to the internet through the wireless adaptor although it does 'see' it.

AVG game me an error message about pcandis5.sys and a trojan horse.

When I try to system restore I get a restore incomplete message that it could not system restore and nothing has been changed.

The internet works on all other connected computers.

Please help. Is this a Trojan horse and can I fix it?

Thank you.

Wanadoo/Orange/Inventel is being used. Inventel remains red in the taskbar. The disc is also not installing for some reason as I tried to reinstall.

It's a file related to wireless drivers. Possibly a false positive, as described here; click here

Make sure your definitions are fully up to date. You can download the latest update from another PC and install it manually; click here
