On accessing web page received message that PCA site wishes to run the following add-on ietag.dll from Microsoft.
Explanation appreciated.
This has been posted in the "I just lost this site again" query but as the heading does not reflect the problem have posted again.

Hmm, treat with suspicion - I have not heard of PCA making any such request before.

  Technotiger 19:26 20 Aug 08

Probably best to contact FE.

Thanks Technotiger. Googling ietag.dll comes up with numerous pages re this problem. I have MS Office 2003 to which the file relates but I would not update anything in this way.
From the feedback it would seem that only two of us have had this add-on appear on the PCA site.
Very strange but that is computers!

Just asked me to add it when I logged on

Asked me to when I just logged on.

Me Too, surely PCA knows about this and maybe might give an explanation.

I have e-mailed the Forum Editor for an explanation on this matter as it seems to be continuing.

response, as I've just posted a similar thread and was directed here by VoG™.
My message says it wants to install an add-on to Office 2007!!
Interested to hear what's going on!

Just an update to say nothing from FE as yet.

I got it yesterday and perhaps foolishly did it, I have OFFICE 2007 on This PC.

I have not picked up any problem so far but I will run a full virus etc check in a moment.
