PC XT Boot-up

I recently acquired an IBM PC XT PC to add to my museum of old PCs.

Although I have used PX XT some 20 years ago, I cannot get this one started.
Switching on only gets me into BASIC. What do I need to boot up properly?

Someone said I need a DOS diskette. Where would I find such a thing nowadays?

Thanks for some help from the less-than-young audience !

P.S. Are there any PC museums in UK?
