pc wont turn off automatically

hi, can any one tell me why when i turn my pc off it dosent switch off and the monitor is left with the "it is now safe to turn off your computer " on the screen, my other pc and monitor used to swith off on their own, any advice please

might just be that its not got an auto shutdown some pcs still dont

Go to Control Panel > Power Options > APM tab and tick "Enable Advanced Power Management Support", it should close down completely now.
